Questions
What makes the Leatherman Signal different from the Wave+?
Signal carries a ferro rod, whistle, and hammer. Wave+ carries scissors, a second knife, and files. Signal is 7.5 oz and 4.5 in closed. Wave+ is 8.5 oz and 4 in closed. Both lock every tool except the pliers.
Is a sheath included?
No. Sheath is sold separately on Signal, Wave+, and Skeletool. Signal ships with a removable pocket clip. Wave+ does not include a clip.
Where is it made, and what is the warranty?
Portland, Oregon, with some global parts. 25-year limited for the original owner on personal-use tools bought from an authorized dealer. Abuse, rust, and most sheaths are out.
Can it go in a carry-on?
No. Multi-tools with blades stay in checked baggage. That is Leatherman’s travel note for all three tools in this log.
